Another NFL Team Says No to Michael Vick

Washington Redskins coach Jim Zorn told the replica watches media his team wouldn't sign Vick "at this juncture." Zorn says he wishes Vick the best and is sure the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback will return to the NFL. The Redskins join a long list of teams — including the New York Giants, Jets and Dallas Cowboys — that have said they don't want Vick after he served 18 months in federal prison for running a dogfighting ring. Sports columnists across the globe have weighed in on where Vick should, or could, land. The New England Patriots are at the top of their list. FOX Sports' John Czarnecki writes that Vick needs a solid team as much as any team may need him. He predicted the Patriots coach could be just the ticket. "Bill Belichick would treat Vick like a man and force him to act like one," Czarnecki says of the Patriots' coach. "The way Belichick operates the Patriots, Vick would be surrounded by a solid group of professionals in the locker room." Vick can immediately participate in preseason practices, workouts and Baume Mercier watches meetings, and can play in the final two preseason games. Once the season begins, he is allowed to participate in all team activities except games, and Goodell said he would consider Vick for full reinstatement by Week 6 — which is from October 18 to 19.
